5 Anime I’m Watching in Spring 2019

Winter season was one of the greatest seasons that I have ever watched. There were so many top tiers in the season that I had to take a bunch with me to the spring season cause I could catch up to them all. But I started to view what is coming in the next season. Even though it is not as massive as the Goliath of Winter. It still has some really great anime that could be anime of the season or one of the biggest flops of a series in anime history. So without further chatter here is the top 5 anime that I will be watching this season.

5) Isekai Quartet

This is one is gonna be one for the books. Cause not only will we get to see the return of best girl Rem from Re:Zero. You have the comedy of Konosba, the psychopathic nature of Tanya, and Lord Ainz for everything else. With the best part of this series being them in all chibit form! Joking. But this will be very entertaining.

Synopsis

Petit crossover anime featuring characters from Overlord, KonoSuba, Re:Zero, and Youjo Senki

A mysterious switch appeared one day. When pressing it, they were sent to a different alternative world!! There are also characters from other alternative worlds gathered together…!?

4) Fruits Basket: 1st Season

This is a love story that I have heard was a very popular classic that was remade. So I hope to enjoy this series from what I her it’s good.

Synopsis

High school student Tohru Honda begins living alone in a tent after she loses her mother, who was her only remaining family member.

However, it turns out that the land she pitches her tent on is part of the distinguished Sohma family estate!

When Shigure Sohma sees the value of her housekeeping skills, Tohru ends up living with Yuki Sohma, who is essentially the prince of her school, and Kyo Sohma, who regards Yuki as the enemy.

Still, there’s something Tohru doesn’t know yet: the Sohma family has been bound for centuries by a horrible curse…

3) Kimetsu no Yaiba

I don’t have much to say about this series. Except that it has highest of praises and it’s Jump. So I am going into this very blind.

Synopsis

Since ancient times, rumors have abounded of man-eating demons lurking in the woods. Because of this, the local townsfolk never venture outside at night. Legend has it that a demon slayer also roams the night, hunting down these bloodthirsty demons.

Ever since the death of his father, Tanjirou has taken it upon himself to support his mother and five siblings. Although their lives may be hardened by tragedy, they’ve found happiness. But that ephemeral warmth is shattered one day when Tanjirou finds his family slaughtered and the lone survivor, his sister Nezuko, turned into a demon. Adding to this sorrow, a demon hunter named Tomioka Giyuu arrived and was about to finish Nezuko off, but to his surprise she and Tanjiro started to protect each other. Seeing this oddity and Tanjiro’s promising fighting skills, Giyuu decides to send them to his old mentor to be trained.

So begins Tanjiro’s life as a demon hunter, bound on a quest to cure his sister and find the one who murdered his entire family.

2) Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san

I am just saying this now before the anime comes out. But after Senko gets that anime shine, she will be the best girl of the spring season. She is the perfect wife and from the few chapter that I have read it is just her being best girl. Maybe its due to my Holo bias and her being just someone that everyone would want to go home from a long day at work. But she alone is the soul reason this is number two.

Synopsis

The everyday life of Nakano, a salaryman working for an exploitative company, is suddenly intruded upon by the fox, Senko-san (800-year-old little girl). Whether it be cooking, cleaning, or special service(?)… she’ll heal his exhaustion with her tender “care.”

HM) Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 Part 2

I really need to catch up to this series. Cause I know that it is a great series and should be probably number one on this list. That is why it is not on this list.

Synopsis

Titans. That is all you need to know.

1) One Punch Man 2nd Season

I don’t care. I don’t care it took so long for it to come. I don’t care that Genos is CG. I don’t care that this is no longer done by my favorite studio of Madhouse. I don’t care that this anime has a high possibility for it to be a shit show. But this is One FUCKING Punch Man and that is all I care about.

Synopsis

Saitama is a guy who’s a hero for fun. After saving a child from certain death, he decided to become a hero and trained hard for three years. Though he’s now so strong he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, lately he feels as if, in exchange for overwhelming power, he’s lost something even more important.

Conclusion

This seasons has potential. But I will not put my hopes up to high amout of quality from Winter last year. There are other sleepers like the action pack original in Fairy Gone, or echhi of the year candidate in Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!, or even another Isekai in the series Kenja no Mago. But who knows when it comes to anime. But until next time ありがとうございました, to my A&M people.

  1. There’s definitely some titles in the Spring line-up that could be interesting but until they start it is hard to know. Still, I think there will be enough to entertain and Fruits Basket getting a reboot is nearly enough to make me look forward to the season all by itself.

    1. I understand what you are saying about spring and I am keeping my optimism very high for the season. But, to me Winter season had a bunch of top tier animes that will be hard to compete with for the rest of the year.
Also I read your recommendation on fruit basket and you said you watch the original. I was just wondering if the story is more a slice of life or has at all any supernatural elements in it.

      1. There’s definitely supernatural elements but it is very shojo/slice of life. Still, it will be worth giving at least an episode or two to see if it catches your attention. There’s a fairly good storyline even if it is a little of a slow burn.

      2. Thanks for the info about the show. Now that I know a little more about it. This will be a show that I will definitely watch this season now. Also if it has a good storyline then I am in 100 percent.
