Alright time to talk about the top 10 anime openings of Spring 2020. I will say that 5 to 3 was really difficult to rank. But the top 2 were solidified when I made this list. Also I will not include Fugou Keiji: Balance:UNLIMITED as it will be moved to the summer. So let’s talk about these amazing openings.

10) Gleipnir | “Altern-ate-” by H-el-ical//

At number 10 we got Alternate. Which to me has the music down to a point. While having amazing symbolism of the overall story. But, I will be honest I like this opening but, I don’t love it.

9) APPARE-RANMAN! | “I got it!” by Mia REGINA

This opening has that beat that you can’t help but, jam to. I got it gives me a shonen-esk type vibe of just having fun in an opening. So that is why I see it this high.

8) BNA | “Ready to” by Michiru Kagemori

This is the definition of fun. Like Trigger just knows what to do with their openings. That is all that I can say to this.

7) Shironeko Project ZERO CHRONICLE | “Tenbin -Libra-” by Takahiro Nishikawa x ASCA

This is my most bais pick. As I feel like this is one of the most epic openings of this season. With a show that I personally think is underrated.

6) Kakushigoto | “Chiisana Hibi” by flumpool

This homy anime opening represents the amazing story of this anime. As to me I might say that this is my second favorite opening this season. With an amazing opening to back it up.

5) Black Clover | “Stories” by Snowman

It is a Black Clover opening. Need I say more. #GarrenteeTop5

4) Tower of God | “TOP” by Stray Kids

I have to commend the staff of Tower of God. For not showing anything about the anime. They just wanted new viewers to enjoy the story themselves. That is one flaw and the reason that I can’t put it number 1. As the music is probably the best out of all the openings. But, the visuals though beautiful lack.

3) Listeners | “Into the blue’s” by ACCAMER

Visually this is the best opening. It is fun, hype, and just an amazing overall opening. With the blend of CG and 2D beautifully done.

2) Fruits Basket Season 2 | “Prism” by AmPm ft. Miyuna

This to me is an amazingly beautiful opening. As it is hard for series to display all of the characters. Without huge text of names of them. (cough FOOD WARS cough). As it just shows you the cast and their symbols. (Need to catch up to Fruits Basket). Along with that they have the most beautiful music I have heard. Like I had this song on repeat cause of the greatness of this.

1) Kaguya-sama: Love is War Season 2 | “DADDY! DADDY! DO!” by Masayuki Suzuki feat. Airi Suzuki

What can I even say about this. Telling a whole story in an opening. The amazing music. The detective walk of GREATNESS. This is a masterpiece and anyone that says otherwise is in another world.

Final Thoughts

Man I love anime openings. There is so much more that I can talk about. But, this list can take forever. With Re:Dive and plenty more that miss the cut. Thanks for reading and until next time, be great my A&M people.
