The story of Yukionna to Kani wo Kuu revolves around a man that is in a very dark place. No job, low on money, bills overdue, and constantly attempting to hang himself everyday waiting for the right time. While waiting for that time, he bumps into a woman that you would consider his polar opposite to him. This woman named Ayame is a wealthy housewife, with a seemingly happy and easy life. The story revolves around these two people as they plan to go find a rare crab that can only be eaten at a certain place in japan.

Now how did these two come to go on this journey. Well Kita the main character of the story attempted to do horrid acts to Ayame out of jealousy. Acts that if it was with any other person in the world he would have been put in prison or killed. But, it was a very different person, a person that drew me to this manga, and one that is full of mystery being the character of Ayame. As during the first chapter. Ayame had this eri feeling. Despite a person trying to rob and attempt other acts to her. It felt like she was in control of everything. Then after acts she fed Kita and agreed to take him to get this amazing crab.
The Journey
Why Ayame is helping him on this goal, what are her plans after helping him eat that crab, and many more questions are answered in this dark and mysterious, yet beautiful and calming story. The deeper that you get into the story the more you learn about the two main characters and their motivations. Learning about their past and how they became rich and poor and why they agreed to this trip and will you see both of them make it to the end of this trip.

It is a short journey but it is filled with so many twists and turns that make this story just an enjoyable short read through all 69 chapters of this manga. There were moments that made me feel sad and others that made me dumbfounded. It has a lot of mystery to the character of Ayame. And overall a good time.
Thank you to everyone that took the time out of your day to read this and until next time be great people.
